On Tuesday last week, at the Amnesty International Council meeting in Dublin, 500 delegates voted in favour of the decriminalisation of sex work and prostitution, as well as the decriminalisation of the purchase of sex. The vote means that Amnesty International’s board will now be called upon to “adopt a policy that seeks attainment of the highest possible protection of the human rights of sex workers, through measures that include the decriminalisation of sex work”.
Wendy Grace talks to Catriona Graham about the Turn Off the Red Light campaign about their reaction to the vote from the Amnesty International Meeting in Dublin and about their opinion of the matter.
