In a recent current edition of the Irish Catholic newspaper the lead story read “World Turns Blind Eye to Iraq’s Christians”.

And it highlights that since the takeover of Iraq’s second city Mosul on 10th June by the Islamic militant group ISIS, 500,000 people have fled the city, including thousands of Christians, to rural villages or the Kurdish city of Erbil.
